Bastille Day Event Sat July 16

We realize that Bastille Day is officially on July 14. So, we'll be a tad bit late with our celebration on Saturday, July 16. But, the French wine and pâté (made by Taylor over at Durham's Tracklements) will be worth the wait.

As an added treat, we'll have Ed and Barbara Addiss, owners of Wine Traditions Imports, to talk about the people behind the wines. They import French wines produced from independent, family owned vineyards...at great prices! And, they're only at Everyday Wines.

Profits from this event will go to a great organization, the Legacy Land Conservancy. The Legacy Land Conservancy protects forests, prairies, farms, wetlands and waters-today and forever.

So, here's the deal:
Saturday, July 16
6:30p-8:30p
Kerrytown Courtyard

$25/ticket
$20/ticket for 3 or more purchased
$15/ticket for 6 or more purchased

Call us or stop by the store. As always, we take Visa, MC, Amex, and cold hard cash.

Putnam's Killer Sangria

It's that time of year again. Many have asked us to provide the recipe that was used to make sangria for last year's Summer Solstice fundraising event for Growing Hope.

So, here it is. Our very own Putnam Weekly came up with this stellar sangria recipe, which he's been generous enough to let us share.

25 oz. (1 bottle) red wine
6 oz. FRESH SQEEZ'D orange juice
5 oz. unsweetened pineapple juice
4 oz. triple sec
2 oz. lime juice
1.5 oz. decent brandy (christian bros, vsop, pisco, vs cognac etc.)
1.5 oz. carpano antica
1 oz. simple syrup (2 fluid oz. sugar + 1 oz. water)

Add the fruit of your choice (strawberries, limes, mangos, whatever)
Yes, the secret ingredient is the Carpano Antica, available at Everyday Wines. It comes in a big bottle, but don't worry, you'll find plenty of good uses for it.

Tasting Saturday May 21

Finally. Sunshine and blue skies are here. And, what are we doing to celebrate? We're asking you to come inside...we know that sounds odd. But, it's for a good reason.

Come by Saturday, May 21 from 3:00p - 4:30p and enjoy samples of three wines...for free. Yep, we'll pick-up the tab if you'll come inside for a bit.

And you might just find a wine or two (or three) that is a perfect match for sunshine and blue skies.

Cheers!

Can't make it today?
If you miss this opportunity, stop by on Tuesday, April 19 as we sample three wines from the St. Innocent Winery (Oregon). As a special treat, Winemaker/Owner Mark Vlossak will be here to talk about the wines.
