Saturday Sept 25 Tasting Event

If, for a mere $15, you're just a tiny bit interested in tasting 6+ wines and eating tasty snacks (courtesy of Durham's Tracklements and Fustini's), then the info below might change your life. Or at least make your Saturday evening really, really enjoyable.

Here's the short and sweet recap:

$15 per person. At least half a dozen wines to taste. Delicious treats from Durham's Tracklements and Fustini's. Free parking in downtown Ann Arbor on a Saturday evening. And all profits benefit The Performance Network Theatre.

Saturday, September 25 (yep, this Saturday)
6:30p -8:30p (come early or later, doesn't matter)
Kerrytown Courtyard (we do have an alternative rain plan)

And, of course, if you decide you'd like to purchase one or more of the delicious wines in the line-up, we'll give you 10% off any bottle or 15% off a case (any 12 bottles will do).

For tickets, give us a call (734.827.9463) or stop by the store.

Summer Case Special

We've outdone ourselves here.

This case special has eight bottles of summer reds, whites and roses; our new Portuguese box wine (the equivalent of four bottles and it will keep for weeks); and four GoVino stemless, shatterproof wine glasses.

Wait for it... all for $120. Out the door. Including tax. Wow.

But wait, there's more. To celebrate local brew, we have 10% off Michigan beer six packs and 15% off a case (that's any four Michigan beer six packs).

Take them up north, stock a barbecue, or just kick back.

Putnam's Killer Sangria

Many thanks to everyone who made our Summer Solstice Party a huge success and, in the process, helped raise proceeds for Growing Hope.

As most who attended will attest, our very own Putnam Weekly came up with one stellar sangria recipe, which he's been generous enough to let us share. For more of Putnam's particular brand of genius, check out his website.

25 oz. (1 bottle) red wine
6 oz. FRESH SQEEZ'D orange juice
5 oz. unsweetened pineapple juice
4 oz. triple sec
2 oz. lime juice
1.5 oz. decent brandy (christian bros, vsop, pisco, vs cognac etc.)
1.5 oz. carpano antica
1 oz. simple syrup (2 fluid oz. sugar + 1 oz. water)

Add the fruit of your choice (strawberries, limes, mangos, whatever)

Yes, the secret ingredient is the Carpano Antica, available at Everyday Wines. It comes in a big bottle, but don't worry, you'll find plenty of good uses for it.

Your New Favorite Glasses

GoVino Wine Glasses are made from a flexible, BPA-free, odorless polymer. Which is a lot of words to say these bad boys are shatterproof.

And that makes them perfect the boat, the deck, the dock, the campsite, or... well, if you're as klutzy as we are, they're pretty much required everywhere.

Use it, abuse it, and someday recycle it. A box of four is only $10.99 or $2.99 per glass.
